More Great Comments on Robertson!

August 24, 2005

Several Texas Baptist leaders got the word out in the Houston Chronicle that Robertson's violent rhetoric was wrong and harmful.
Baptists Today, The Source for Daily Baptist News for You and Your Church Here are a couple of them:

Phil Strickland, director of the Baptist General Convention of Texas's Christian Life Commission said, "Pat Robertson does not advance the Christian faith by announcing on television his own preferences about who around the world he wants killed."

BGCT's Executive Director Charles Wade stated, "Those of us who call for Muslims to condemn terrorism by their brethren cannot be silent when one of ours advocates this kind of violence."

Rev. Gary Moore, senior associate pastor of Second Baptist Church of Houston, said, "When people look up to you, you have to be careful of what they look up and see."

Again I say, "Amen!"
