BGCM Annual Meeting

March 26, 2010

The annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Missouri is today and tomorrow. Anyone can watch the sessions free online by following the link on the BGCM's homepage (the first session begins at 1 p.m.). You can also follow the meeting via the BGCM's Twitter updates. The keynote speaker will be Dr. William Shaw, pastor of the White Rock Baptist Church in Philadelphia and past president of the National Baptist Convention, USA. The Bible studies will be led by Dr. David M. May, professor of New Testament at Central Baptist Theological Seminary. Also speaking will be BGCM President Randall Bunch and BGCM Executive Director Jim Hill. The biggest item of consideration will be a new five-year strategy plan report that is based on several months of prayerful research and discussion. The report includes several recommendations to guide the future ministry efforts of the BGCM. The Word&Way recently had an article that described some of the main goals. The theme for this weekend's meeting is "God's Plans: Hope and a Future."
