Two Pieces on Confessional PoliticsJanuary 18, 2011
I have two new pieces out today about confessional politics. The first is an Ethics Daily column entitled "Confessional Politics Excommunicates Minority Groups." It is a short excerpt from my new book (Presidential Campaign Rhetoric in an Age of Confessional Politics). This piece comes from the section where I critique the problems of our confessional political era. The second piece is on the Rowan & Littlefield blog and is entitled "Martin Luther King, Jr. and Today's Confessional Politics." It is a reflection on the important role King played in shaping the relationship between religion and politics in our nation.
