This morning, I was a guest on the "Morningline" radio program on KWTO AM 560 in Springfield, MO. Along with host Elizabeth Dudash and various callers, I talked about issues of religion and politics. Among the topics we discussed during the hour were: Catholics in presidential campaigns, faiths of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, embattled MO Senate hopeful Todd Akin, abortion and religion, the Democratic platform and God, who is going to win the election, how my personal religion impacts my politics and writing, and my book Presidential Campaign Rhetoric in an Age of Confessional Politics. It was a fun and lively discussion about critical issues, but unfortunately there is no podcast online. It was especially nice to be on the air on a station that can be heard in my old college stomping grounds.
