Election Day Communion Seeks to Heal Partisan Divide

Ethics Daily ran my latest article today, which is titled "Election Day Communion Seeks to Heal Partisan Divide." It is about an exciting effort (Election Day Communion) that is attempting to get Christians to unite together as the body of Christ on this day when the world attempts to divide us into red and blue groups. I am looking forward to participating in this at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church tonight. In fact, even though I teach political communication, the Election Day Communion service is what I am most looking forward to today.

  1. A wonderful idea, Brian, that hopefully will catch on. Regrettably, I'll wager there are some churches who won't want to participate. Already too red or too blue.

  2. I'm afraid you're right, Drew, about red and blue churches. Hopefully, however, this type of effort can help at least some churches break through that.
