Warrantless Wiretapping DebateSeptember 25, 2013
James Madison University on the topic "Resolved: U.S. warrantless wiretapping has done more harm than good for society." The debate, cosponsored by the JMU Office of International Programs and the Madison Debate Society, served as one of the events for JMU's International Week. The debaters - from JMU, George Washington University, and Emory University - did a great job and the audience participation at the end also added to the discussion. It was good to see a crowd of about 240 people (mostly students) show up for the debate on a critically important topic (the photo of the debate is from the Madison Debate Society, and I am the small purple dot in the middle). The Madison Debate Society posted a recording of the debate here.
