Warrantless Wiretapping Debate

Warrantless Wiretapping Debate
Last night, I moderated a public debate at James Madison University on the topic "Resolved: U.S. warrantless wiretapping has done more harm than good for society." The debate, cosponsored by the JMU Office of International Programs and the Madison Debate Society, served as one of the events for JMU's International Week. The debaters - from JMU, George Washington University, and Emory University - did a great job and the audience participation at the end also added to the discussion. It was good to see a crowd of about 240 people (mostly students) show up for the debate on a critically important topic (the photo of the debate is from the Madison Debate Society, and I am the small purple dot in the middle). The Madison Debate Society posted a recording of the debate here.

  1. Hello!
I have started an Episcopalian Bloggers linkup at my blog,, and wondered if you were interested in joining. The Episcopalian Bloggers linkup's purpose is to promote the diversity of Episcopalians by advertising your church membership through a blog badge and blogroll. Having a collection of blogging Episcopalians in one place would be amazing for anyone interested in knowing exactly who Episcopalians are. (Which is to say, they are a diverse group of people.)

To join the linkup, simple visit the Episcopalian Bloggers page on my blog @, retrieve the badge code, and add your blog's information to the linkup. If you have any questions or concern, please contact me. I would love to have you join us!
