A Greener EvangelicalismDecember 13, 2015
Laura Turner wrote a good piece in Pacific Standard on evangelicals and environmental issues that quotes me. She contacted me while I was in Paris for the COP21 United Nations climate talks. My comments come at the end of her piece, A Greener Evangelicalism.
Others quoted include Rachel Lamb (national organizer for Young Evangelicals for Climate Action), Richard Cizik (president of the New Evangelical Partnership for the Common Good and one of the back-cover endorsements for my newest book), and Mitch Hescox (president of the Evangelical Environmental Network). It is a honor to be included in the piece along with those individuals.
A couple of other good pieces came out this past week during COP21 on faith leaders addressing climate change and other environmental issues:
- Christian. Conservative. Treehugger. by Chris Berdik, Politico (December 6)
- Act now, for God’s sake, faith voices urge Paris climate conference by Cathy Lynn Grossman, Religion News Service (December 9)
It is good to see attention to the Christian moral witness on these important issues.
