Meeting with Global Baptist Leaders

March 08, 2016

I spent Monday and Tuesday in Virginia for meetings for the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). I serve as the vice chair of the Communications Advisory Committee and on the Awards Committee (and I also serve on the Commission on Christian Ethics, but that didn't meet this time). It was good to see old friends from around the world and make some new ones. At one point, I looked around the table I was sitting at and realized there were people from six countries there to dialogue about ministries; that is part of what makes BWA meetings great.

During a break in the meetings, I offered some thoughts about the BWA and its importance for a short video. My colleague Cliff Vaughn shot it and edited it up nicely with lots of footage he shot during the meetings (that way you don't have to look at me the whole time!).

I am grateful for the work of the BWA as it unites Baptists around the world for ministry, missions, worship, fellowship, and much more.
