Missourians See Opening Doors in Cuba

June 17, 2016

My latest piece on traveling to Cuba appeared in the June issue of Word&Way (a Baptist magazine in the Midwest). The trip (a joint effort of Churchnet, The Baptist Home, and Future Leadership Foundation) took us to Santiago de Cuba and the surrounding area to meet with Baptist pastors and ministry leaders.

The Word&Way article, Missourians See Opening Doors in Cuba, includes comments from Steven Jones (president and treasurer of The Baptist Home & Foundation), Roger Hatfield (CEO of the Future Leadership Foundation and consultant on global aging missions for The Baptist Home), Osbel Gutiérrez Pila (president of the Convención Bautista de Cuba Oriental), Donis Hernández Abella (director of a Baptist nursing home in Cuba), Samuel Regalado Matos (pastor of 1ra Iglesia Bautista in El Caney), and Gary Snowden (missional collaboration team leader for Churchnet). The article also includes a photo someone from a Baptist church took of our team and his pastor.

Earlier pieces I've from the trip include an issue of Churchnet's digital magazine and an Ethics Daily article. You can also find photos from the trip here.
